WHO WE ARE
Established in 1989 in Tower Hamlets, London, the OLGA Education & Training Project (OETP) is a value-driven educational initiative dedicated to improving learning, practical skills and opportunities for students, teachers and communities.
OETP began by supporting children and families through mother-tongue education and community learning. It later expanded into English, ESOL, ICT, employability, professional development and practical training programmes.
OUR TRAINING JOURNEY
Over the years, OETP has delivered education and training through community and professional venues, including the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Redbridge, Redbridge College, Old Street Magistrates’ Court and the Detainees Education and Training Centre at Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre.
Our programmes have included Food Hygiene, Customer Service, Teaching Assistant Training, ICT, English, ESOL, employability and other professional and life skills. Today, our growing programme areas also include teacher development, student support, IELTS, SSC and HSC preparation, BSc-level learning support, banking and competitive-examination preparation.
OUR WORK TODAY
OETP is now extending its educational mission to disadvantaged communities in Bangladesh, beginning in Sylhet. We support teachers and students through practical training, modern teaching methods, responsible use of artificial intelligence, classroom-management skills and accessible learning resources.
Our flagship OLGA 15-Minute Literacy & Numeracy Programme is designed to help struggling learners through short, focused and consistent classroom activities. We believe students should understand what they learn instead of depending entirely on rote memorisation.
OLGA PUBLISHING HOUSE
Working alongside OETP, OLGA Publishing House develops affordable, bilingual English–Bangla educational resources for Primary, SSC, HSC and future competitive-examination learners.
